Things I Have Learnted From Wikipedia
As every body knows the reason why the The Beatles split up is because Paul McCartney didn’t like John Lennon new friend Yoko Ono. This can be a real problem in bands, if your band mate says they don’t like your new friend where would your loyalty lie - with your band or with your new friend?
It’s a tough one to call isn’t it? Well consider then the poor Red Hot Chilli Peppers when an altogether more Supernatural predicament happened to them (from Wikipedia)
It must have been tough for Chad Smith (real name Chadwick Gaylord Smith), on the one hand he got vindicated for his assertion that there were ghosts in the house when Frusciante said there “definitely” were there but on the other hand he was basically told by Frusciante that he was the sort of idiot that couldn’t even tell the difference between an evil ghost and a Casper-y friendly one!
But who was right, were the ghosts in Harry Houdini’s house friendly or not? It’s hard to say for certain but it is worth considering the following -
John Frusciante, who was exposed to the ghosts by staying in the house, descended into a spiral of drug abuse which eventually led to him leaving the band and sustaining severe burns in a house fire (which could well have been started by a ghost for all I know)
Chad Smith, who avoided the ghosts by driving away from them on his motorcycle, continued to enjoy great success not only with the Chilli Peppers but also with the rock supergroup Chickenfoot and Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats!
So in summary, to quoteth the Morrissey “Ouija Board, Ouija Board”
